We can accommodate individuals or small groups to come in with their ingredients and cook here in our large, well-appointed kitchen at Ronald McDonald House between the hours of 10am-12pm or 2pm-5pm.  Typically, the morning time is for baking and the afternoon is for preparing dinner.

For baking, you’re free to make anything, but we ask for enough for about 15 people to enjoy.  A large batch of brownies or cookies is perfect, but we also love to have more unusual items like cakes, pies, quick breads, or even your favorite family recipe.

For dinner, a meal consists of a homecooked entree, side dish or salad and a dessert to feed 12-15 people.  You are free to make whatever you’d like, but we find that simple meals are the most popular with our guests. We have no ingredient restrictions.

The prepared food is then left for guests to help themselves to–we don’t have a scheduled sit-down mealtime, but ask for dinner to be ready between 5 and 6pm.  The volunteer covering the House while you’re here can assist with any last minute preparation that needs to happen so if you’re simply waiting for something to come out of the oven, he/she can take care of that. We also welcome groups to enjoy the meal they’ve prepared here if they’d like–just be sure you prepare enough additional food.  This may give you an opportunity to meet some of our guests. Once the food is prepared and clean up is complete, your job is done.
