Regional Mentoring Networks in Vermont

One of the greatest resources for mentoring programs remains their peers: other mentoring programs. In September 2014, Mobius was invited to attend the Chittenden County Mentoring Network (CCMN) annual retreat and help facilitate a discussion around the group’s purpose and goals for the year. In the southern part of the state, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Bennington County and The Mentor Connector are also taking the lead on convening mentoring programs in their area this fall. While all mentoring program professionals are welcome to attend CCMN and BBBS/Mentor Connector gatherings, Mobius would be excited to help you establishing your own mentoring network in your area. If you would like help in doing so, email [email protected].

The Chittenden County Mentoring Network

The Chittenden County Mentoring Network (CCMN) is a group of mentoring program coordinators – community and school-based – who meet monthly to offer one another support, encouragement, ideas, and networking to further
individual programs’ good work.  Currently the group is comprised of programs from northwestern Vermont but any CCMN logomentoring program is welcome to join the group. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, from 9 to 10:30. Send an email to [email protected] if you are interested in joining the CCMN or attending an upcoming meeting.
