The Partnership for Youth & Community Empowerment seeks to build a working partnership between adult residents and young people of South Burlington. The foundation of this partnership is recognition of young people as community resources. Working together we strive to build a community where every young person will possess those attributes that ensure success in school, in work and in life. Our program serves any child attending school in the South Burlington School District grade 3 through high school. Mentors meet during lunch/recess time or after school at the elementary schools and during a student’s free period or after school at the middle and high school. The roles of mentors are to be a caring responsible adult, a trusted guide and a positive role model, who provide access to people, places and things outside the young person's routine environment. We are always looking for new mentors!
