Planned Parenthood Mentoring Program matches teens ages 16+ with college sophomores and juniors for one-on-one community based activities. The program aims to help teens connect with a trusted adult that they can talk to about the issues that impact their lives. The program is available to all Chittenden County teens ages 16 and up who might benefit from a connection with a trusted college-age mentor. Mentors meet with their mentees 2-3 times per month and connect on the phone or via email once per week. Mentors come from all area colleges and agree to commit at least 2 semesters (a full academic year) to the program. Training, on-going support and supervision are provided.
First Year of operation: 2005
