Little Brother/Little Sister matches children between the ages of 6-12 from the Winooski Elementary School. Children are matched with a college buddy and meet on a weekly basis. Also, student coordinators organize monthly group activities. LB/LS works with a school guidance counselor and all referrals come from the school. College buddies provide support and friendship to the children. It is expected that the college buddies will maintain their relationships for four years.
Middle School Mentors works with a group of 12 young women from the Winooski Middle School. Each student is matched with a female college buddy and the entire group meets once a week during the academic year. College buddies assist with tutoring and serve as role models.

First Year of operation: LB/LS: 1989; MSM: 1999
Minimum age for mentor: must attend St. Michael's College
Minimum time commitment: LB/LS: 4 hours/week; MSM: 3 hours/weel
Minimum length of commitment: one academic year
