M.O.V.E. (Mobilization of Volunteer Efforts)

Little Brother/Little Sister matches children between the ages of 6-12 from the Winooski Elementary School. Children are matched with a college student and meet on a weekly basis. Student coordinators organize monthly group activities and end of semester programs. LB/LS works with a school guidance counselor and all referrals come from the school. College "Bigs" provide support and friendship to the "Littles". It is expected that the college buddies will maintain their relationships for four years.

Middle School Mentors works with a group of 12 middle school girls from the Winooski Middle School. Each student is matched with a female college buddy and the entire group meets once a week during the academic year. College buddies assist with tutoring and serve as role models.

International Outreach: Refugee Mentoring & Homework Help supports new Americans and their families in the local community through mentoring matches and an after-school homework club.

First Year of operation: LB/LS: 1989; MSM: 1999; International Mentoring: 2007
Minimum age for mentor: must attend St. Michael's College
Minimum time commitment: 4 hours/week
Minimum length of commitment: one academic year
