Mentors ROAR offers both school based and community based mentoring to youths from Colchester Middle School in grades 6-8. The program supports students who would benefit from increased positive attention from a caring adult. Eligible students are matched one on one with a responsible adult mentor from Green Mentor Power who enjoys children. It is the goal of this program to help youth live successfully and happily in their communities, to develop both personally and academically. Ongoing support and training from both VSAC and the CMS guidance counselors is provided, in addition to extensive background checks on the mentors.
