Mentor Arts is a community-based arts mentoring program, matching our community’s artistic youth with creative adults for long-term relationships based on a mutual love of the arts. We work with youth from the greater Burlington area, ages 10-18, who could benefit from extra adult support and want to, at the same time, develop their creativity by engaging in the arts. Matches are based on common interests in any performing or visual art form as well as general compatibility. Burlington City Arts provides studio space (fine arts, photography, printmaking and clay) and materials. The program coordinator provides ongoing support and training for our matches, and organizes workshops and exhibitions. Pairs meet approximately once a week for one year.
First Year of operation: 2002
