The Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) provides meaningful volunteer roles for adults 55 years of age or older who are interested in working with children. FGP’s goal is to make a difference in the life of a child while at the same time enriching the life of the volunteer. Volunteers (who receive a stipend) serve from 15-40 hours per week providing supportive one-to-one assistance to special needs children from birth to 21 years of age in child care centers, schools and other agencies. Currently, FGP serves senior volunteers and children in Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle and Washington Counties.
