Program Partners
Welcome to our program partners! This section provides tools and resources for you, as part of Mobius’ support of the Chittenden County Mentoring Network. Please make use of what you find on these pages, and make suggestions if there is anything that you feel is missing.
In an effort to more clearly delineate what defines a Chittenden County Mentoring Network program partner; program directors attending the Chittenden County Mentoring Network meetings have suggested the following:
Chittenden County Mentoring Network Program Partners agree to the following:
To collaborate with other partner programs, in as much as possible, on the following mutually beneficial areas: recruitment, fundraising, public awareness, idea sharing, training, professional development, marketing, recognition, and event planning.
To be a willing and active participant of the network by:
- coming to quarterly meetings
- signing a letter of commitment
- becoming involved in at least one event per year given a range of choices
To provide quality programs that Mobius can recommend and refer potential mentors to
To comply with Elements of Effective Practice
To develop and use a quantitative tool to evaluate their program
To enjoy and support each other
In addition, according to the National Mentoring Website, it is suggested that participating mentoring programs should:
establish a clearly defined mission;
establish goals, objectives and activities;
create clearly defined operating procedures and member roles;
form a public relations/communications plan; and
ensure that the collaborative efforts are valued by all.
