Great Science Night at ECHO!

March 2011

On March 10th, 30 matches from five programs attended the Mobius Mentor pairs event at the ECHO Leahy Science Center. The ECHO team and staff were wonderful hosts, and offered expert demonstrations about wildlife and ecology of the area including moose, and the salt water history of the lake. Sugar Snap provided a delicious dinner.

Superstar weatherman Tom Messner from WPTZ did his weather broadcast live from the ECHO center and interviewed King Street Center Mentor Dustin King and his charismatic mentee, Abu.

Thanks so much to Community Friends, MOVE (St. Michael’s College), the Spectrum Center,  the Boys and Girls Club, and the King Street Center for participating. Thanks to Sugar Snap for feeding a lovely meal to our pairs. And a big thank you to the EHCO Lake Champlain Science Center/Leahy Center for Lake Champlain for welcoming us in to their wonderful facility again this year!
