Why give to Mobius?

Mentoring has proven to be one of the most effective approaches to changing young peoples’ lives. Children who have a caring adult in their lives are more likely to achieve social and academic success and positive emotional development. Mobius’ goal is to increase the number of high quality mentoring matches in Chittenden County by increasing public awareness of the benefits of mentoring, by recruiting adult volunteers, and by supporting enhanced capacity within the community’s existing mentoring programs.

Where Will Your Money Go?

The average cost of a mentoring match in Chittenden County is approximately $1,000. Your investment in Mobius can support public awareness efforts, recruitment of mentors, or much needed funding for a mentoring program. Acting now to build a mentoring culture will cost far less than repairing the long term damage of doing nothing.

$1,000 can support one mentoring match for one year.
$5,000 will support recruitment of 150 new mentors.
$12,000 will help us provide the public awareness needed to create a culture of mentoring for our community.
