Chad Butt, Mobius’ new E.D., will lead the organization’s statewide transition as of May 6, 2013.

Dear members of the statewide mentoring community:

Mobius is excited to announce the hiring of Chad Butt as the organization’s next Executive Director.  Chad will begin leading Mobius’ transformation into the state mentoring partnership as of May 6th.   Representatives of the Program Leadership Council, the Mobius Interim Board of Directors, the Vermont Mentoring Funders Collaborative, and current Mobius staff all provided input during this important hiring process.

Chad comes to us from the DREAM Program, where he has served as Senior Programs Director during DREAM’s expansion throughout the state of Vermont, and the founding of its Boston office. He began as a DREAM mentor at Dartmouth College, and has dedicated his professional life to mentoring, first as an AmeriCorps member and then through various successful initiatives with DREAM over the past nine years.

Over the next year, Mobius will be working to help mentoring programs share resources, track valuable outcome data, and work more efficiently through the release of the CiviCore mentoring database and the expansion of the current Mobius website into a statewide mentoring website.  We believe that by working collaboratively with programs and funders alike, we will help shape a bright future for mentoring in Vermont.  We look forward to continuing our work with you and for you during this exciting statewide transition.

All the best,
Michael Loner
Chair, Mobius Board of Directors
